Priceless moments with the right music

 We are a string quartet group who provide musical elegance to a variety of special occasions in Vancouver.

 Our group is comprised of the very best performers who specialize in Anniversaries, Weddings, Awards nights, Banquets, Cocktail parties, Movie and TV sound tracks, Conventions and more.

Larisa Lebeda - Violin

 Born in Russia, completed her studies in Gnesin music college and then Gnesin institute in the violin class of N.Frumin and G.Zhyslin. M Music diploma from Carol Lipinski academy in Wroclaw, Poland.


Full time member of orchestras and/or teaching positions in universities of Poland, Germany, then in North Africa and South America. 
 

End of 1999 Immigrated to Canada, where she works as a free lanced violinist enjoying collaboration with VSO, Vancouver Opera, Victoria Symphony and other orchestras. Love to play chamber music in all imaginable combinations :))
As a soloist, Larisa has performed on stages of four continents.

Aleksandra Dziobek - Cello / Composer

 Born in Poland, Aleksandra has studied cello performance in Karol Szymanowski Academy of Music in Katowice, Poland. She has been performing all over Europe with Poland cultural center Symphony orchestra and Wien theater orchestra until she moved her musical stage to Johannesburg, South Africa.

 

 In Johannesburg, she was active solo cellist and chamber musician for over 10 years with her husband, Jacek. Thankfully they have settled in Vancouver, Canada since 2002.

 

 Here in Vancouver, she is the faculty of Place des Arts and BC conservatory of Music and actively performing as Soloist, chamber and orchestral musician. 

 

With her gifted talent of composition / arrangement, most of the music played by the Modern strings is composed / arranged by Aleksandra
 

Jacek Dziobek - Violin / Viola
 

 Born in Poland, Jacek studied violin / viola in Karol Szymanowski Academy of  Music in Katowice, Poland. He was active violin and viola performer in Poland, Germany, Austria and moved to Johannesburg with his wife cellist Aleksandra.

 His charming performance character brings multiple colours to the chamber music ; from Bach to Beethoven and Coldplay to Lady gaga, his versatile style fits all ears of audience. 

Here in Vancouver he is a active solo, chamber and orchestra musician and also music teacher in Many schools including BC conservatory of music and Selina Cheng music Academy. 

Dominic Woo - Violin

 A native of Korea, Dominic Woo is an active solo violin player both in Canada and Europe. Winning 2nd Prize in the 2007 Padova International competition, Dominic was a member of the Jenaer Philharmonie orchestra in Jena, Germany and is currently the Concertmaster of the Vancouver Metropolitan Orchestra.

 Dominic earned his bachelor’s degree in music from the Musik Hochschule Felix Mendelssohn Bartholy in Leipzig, Germany where he studied violin with Professor Ulrich Klupsch. Throughout his years in Musik Hochschule, he was appointed as Concertmaster under the baton of legendary conductors such as Kurt Masur and Fabio Luisi.

Since his return to Canada in 2010, Dominic has performed as a soloist in numerous concerts with orchestras in Vancouver such as the West Coast Symphony (Bruch: Scottish Fantasy), New Westminster Symphony (Beethoven:Violin concerto), Vancouver Philharmonic Orchestra (Saint-Saens: Violin concerto 3), and the Vancouver Metropolitan Orchestra (Dvorak: Romance).
